Connection Examples
Illustrations show wiring for N.C. output alarm, N.O. output alarm, and anti-masking output.
5. INSTALLATION POSITION
Install the sensor at a height of 0.8-1.2m (2.6-3.9ft). Adjust the horizontal and vertical angles for optimal detection. Refer to the diagrams for detection area patterns.
6. SETTING OF DETECTION AREA
Horizontal Area Adjustment
The sensor unit can be rotated horizontally up to 90 degrees left and right.
Vertical Area Adjustment
Adjust the vertical angle (0°, 2.5°, 5°, 7.5°, 10° down) by repositioning the sensor unit.
Detection Range Adjustment
Adjust the detection range using the sensitivity adjuster (variable resistor).
Area Masking
Use the provided masking seals to restrict the detection area and prevent false alarms. Diagrams illustrate how to apply masks for various scenarios (e.g., avoiding obstacles, narrow areas).
7. DIP SWITCH SETTINGS
Configure the sensor's operation using the DIP switches (1-8).
- DIP SW1-2: Mode Selection (e.g., PIR Only, MW Only, PIR & MW AND/OR, PIR & MW AND)
- DIP SW3: Detection Pattern (AND/OR Logic)
- DIP SW4: Sensitivity (LOW/HIGH)
- DIP SW5: Anti-masking output (ON/OFF)
- DIP SW6: Microwave detection range (SHORT/LONG)
- DIP SW7-8: Alarm output timer (2/5 sec)
8. WALK TEST
Perform a walk test after installation to ensure proper detection. The walk test LED will illuminate upon detection.
9. CHECKING BEFORE/AFTER INSTALLATION
Inspection Points
- Power connection
- Wiring connections
- Tamper switch operation
