Step 1: Opening the detector

Use a screwdriver to press the latch and open the front cover.

Step 2: Coverage Patterns

Diagrams illustrating different coverage zones, including a wide angle and a narrow "corridor" pattern.

Step 3: Mounting Height

Recommended mounting height: 2.25 m - 2.7 m (7.5 ft - 9 ft)

Connections

Terminal Block (Section 6)

• 10-14 VDC: Power input.
• Tamper Contact: Connect to a 24-hour protection circuit; maximum rating 125 mA, 28 VDC, 3 W.
  • (Also described as Sabotagecontact, Contact d'autosurveillance, Sabotageschutzkontakt, Contatto antimanomissione, Contacto do tamper, Contacto de bucle antisabotaje, 防拆联络.)
• Digital Alarm: Activates optional plug-in modules, 5 V normally, grounded during alarm.
  • (Also described as Digitaal alarm, Alarme à collecteur ouvert, Digitaler Alarm, Allarme digitale, Alarme digital, Alarma digital, 数字警报.)
• Alarm Relay: Maximum rating 125 mA, 28 VDC, 3 W.
  • (Also described as Alarmrelais, Relais d'alarme, Alarmrelais, Relè di allarme, Relé do alarme, Relé de alarma, 警报继电器.)

LED and Look-down Zone (Section 7)

• LED Indicators: Visual status indicators.
• Microwave range adjustment: Use the dial to set the microwave detection range.
• Pull to enable look-down zone: Remove the tape to activate the look-down zone. Note: You cannot replace tape once it is removed.

Walk Test

Walk Test Procedure

1. Power the detector. Wait at least 2 min. (Detector inschakelen. Wacht enminste 2 min. / Mettez le détecteur sous tension. Patientez au moins 2 min. / Melder wird eingeschaltet. 2. Increase microwave adjustment slightly until range is met. Note: Have an installer test the detector at least yearly.
