This document provides an overview of the software and firmware history for all DCN products. It details major release issues starting with DCN application software version 4.00.

The document history includes:

00-0242: First edition.
01-0245: V9.40 added.

DCN Application Software LBB 3590

DCN Software History

A comprehensive table lists DCN software versions from 1.00 (Feb-94) to 9.51 (Apr-04), along with their release dates and 12 NC codes. Key aspects of the software release policy are:

Vx.00: Major release with new functionality and applications and/ or support of new hardware.
Vx.x0: Minor functionality additions.
Vx.xx: Bug fixing release in general for specific customer.

Release Survey

This section details the added functionalities and changes across various DCN application software versions.

Version 4.00

LBB 3500 Central Control Unit: TCB2 required, Maintenance menu added.
PC language: German, Italian and Dutch.
LBB 3573 Intercom: Operator can manage intercom facilities.
LBB 3578 Att. registration: Attendance registration and Access control combines two applications.
LBB 3584 Video Display: Video display (Server part only).

Bug fix release.

PC language: Spanish, Portuguese and Japanese.
LBB 3570 Mic management: Insert/ replace dialogs retain names/ number settings; Improved insert/replace dialogs list boxes; Screen lines displayed on Icons.

Bug fixing for units on addresses above 232 and crash after pressing Ok in edit language assignment.

Version 5.00

LBB 3500 Central Control Unit: Voice Activation Microphone mode added.
Software application keys: New application keys valid for all SW versions ≥ V5.00.

PC Language: Finnish.
LBB 3576 Multi Voting: Universal voting application.
LBB 3584 Video Display: Provides DCN Microphone, Voting, Message and Attendance Registration information to video projection devices and video displays.
LBB 3586 Multi CCU: Interpreters can be connected to more than one slave.

Version 6.00

PC Language: Catalan and Japanese.
LBB 3590 Control PC software: Multi-PC support (One server and up to 3 client PC's).
LBB 3575-76 Voting: Roll call voting removed from DCN Start Up Window.
LBB 3500 Central Control Unit: TCB3 supported, DCN Discussion units supported, Volume control in 1.5dB steps.
Unit language LCD text: Czech and Russian.
LBB 3590 Control PC software: Full Multi PC functionality up to 4 PC's, limited to 10 PC's.
LBB 3572 Simult. Interpretation: Up to 15 interpretation channels.
LBB 3573 Intercom: Not available if max channels (15) selected for Simultaneous Interpretation.

LBB 3572 Simult. Interpretation: Extension of max number of auto-relay booths from 3 to 15.
LBB 3575/76 Parl.-/Multi Voting: Copying of scripts without results fixed. 'Voting approved' field behavior improved.
LBB 3587 Att. Registration: Independent settings for viewing/printing absence/presence lists. LED support for Card Reader Panels LBB 3543/00 and LBB 3543/15 modified.

Unit language LCD text: Slovak.
LBB 3590 Control PC Software: Default COM-port selection changed. Speech time option not remembered. Response mode bug solved.
LBB 3575/76 Parl.-/Multi Voting: Voting time display adjustable.
LBB 3578 Att. Registration: Exclude discussion units from AT registration. Descriptions for Intercom and Message Distribution added.

Bug fixing release for LED 'Active mic.' control and number of delegates in response mode.

LBB 3500 Central Control Unit: Slovak and Latvian text corrections. Re-branded from Philips to Bosch.
LBB 3590 Control PC Software: Czech, Slovak and Serbian added as PC language.
LBB 3584 Video Display: New Video client added.

Version 9.51

LBB 3590 Control PC Software: Support Multi PC for Windows XP (Requires WinXP Service pack 2). Note: Not downwards compatible due to reconfig. of some file locations.
Serbian Cyrillic added as unit language.
LBB 3580 Delegate Database: Support for SCR131 Card Encoder.

DCN Hardware and Software Compatibility

Hardware

Tables illustrate the compatibility of various TCB (Trunk Communication Board) versions for LBB 3500 and LBB 3500/30 series with specific software versions. Key information includes:

LBB 3500/00, LBB 3500/10: TCB0 supported till software V3.11. TCB2 required from V4.00. TCB3 for V6.00 and higher. TCB4 for V9.00 and higher.
LBB 3500/30, LBB 3500/35: Multi CCU supported from V3.10. MTB1 to be used only in combination with TCB3.
LBB 3519/00, LBB 3519/10, LBB 3519/20: TCB2 required from V4.00. TCB3 for V6.00 and higher. TCB4 for V9.00 and higher.

Hardware upgrade of TCB and MCCU board

Trunk Communication Board 4: Ordering code 8900 351 92005. Available as commercial product.
Slave Multi Trunk Board 1 (for CCU): Ordering code 5322 214 11355. Available as service part.

Software

A matrix shows the compatibility of single and multi CCU software versions (01-00 to 09-50) with different TCB and MTB versions (TCB0, TCB2, TCB3, TCB4, MTB0, MTB1).

EPROM upgrade set for stand-alone DCN CCU's

EPROM set for LBB 3500/00-05: Ordering code 9965 000 00436. Available as service part.
